There is something about weekend brunch that sets it apart from other meals. Maybe it is the relaxed weekend vibe and the fact that this vibe turns meals to happiness on a plate. Of course, to make that happiness linger, we need some awesome plant-based food too. Here are some of our favourite restaurants to head to for Weekend Brunch that offers yummo vegetarian and vegan options. These restaurants are all appropriate for casual, family-friendly dining and welcome kids so that’s another thing you don’t have to worry about.
We should also point out that we don’t consider croissants and pastries as good vegetarian brunch options. All these restaurants offer much more than pancakes and waffles, wholesome, hearty and delicious grub that will have to coming back for more.

Shake Farm HQ

The place to head to for healthy eating that is high on taste as well, Shake Farm is located in a shophouse that belies the buzz inside. The farm to table concept means everything is fresh, tasty and healthy. With ample vegetarian and vegan options on their regular menu, they also have a Weekend Brunch Menu which changes regularly. Some of our brunch favourites here include Blueberry Protein Pancake and the Sundried Tomato Pesto Zoodles, loaded with sautéed spinach, cherry tomatoes, feta and nuts. The Zoodles originally come with Salmon, which can be replaced with Avocado to make zoodles vegetarian and oh so yum! Also interesting is the Amazin’ Vegan Grazin’, a platter with a selection of vegan nibbles. Of course, you’ll find all kinds of shakes here too. Privé

All Privé outlets in Singapore offer a fabulous selection of plant-based dishes for the vegan and vegetarian diner. We specially love Privé @ Keppel Bay as it is also kid-friendly. Located on the beautiful Keppel Island, the restaurant offers a small playarea, colouring sets and a TV corner. Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month is Kid’s Day, so expect a magic show, balloon sculpting and tattoos to engage the kids. One of our top brunch picks for kids are the PB&J With Flourless Banana & Oat-Pancakes (S$15++) that are vegan and taste somewhat like cake. Yumm! Other recommended vegan dishes include Mad-For-Mexican Salad and Mediterranean Salad (S$16++). Don’t forget to check out their Blueberry Almond Cake, also vegan and another one of our top picks.
