Pizza Express

Giardiniera Leggera (Image credit: Pizza Express Singapore’s Facebook page)

The British chain offer Classic (11″) and Grande (14″) pies for pizza-lovers. They are one of the few pizzerias here that use vegan cheese. Try the Vegan Giardiniera Leggera (Asparagus, butternut squash, button mushrooms, roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes, olives, passata, mozzarella and garlic oil, finished with fresh basil and pesto Genovese) or go for the meaty Impossible Curry (Impossible™ with mozzarella, passata, red onion, red chilli, garlic oil and kale, served with a lemon wedge). Most of the vegetarian pizzas can be done vegan by replacing the dairy cheese with a vegan version. With their veg pastas, sides and salads, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Spizza

Spizza's Vegan Pizza: Pizza Delivery Singapore
The Vegan Claudia Spizza

The affordable yet authentic wood-fired, thin crust Spizzas are a cut above the ‘traditional’ delivery pizzas. We love their Margherita (S$25), but team ERL’s favourite Spizzas are the Elisa (tomato, mozzarella, pesto sauce, olives, pine kernels and parmesan cheese) and the creative Quinta (tomato, mozzarella, black truffle paste, egg which can be removed upon request). Claudia (without cheese, tomato, bell peppers, zucchini, eggplants, artichokes and mushrooms) is suitable for vegans. Spizza’s pizzas use vegetarian rennet instead of animal rennet, so needless to say, these guys are one of our fave best pizza delivery in town. They also offer pastas, sides and delivery combos.

Pizza Fabbrica

Fabbrica’s pizzas are done Neapolitan style, they are fired in the wood fire oven giving the crust that authentic “leopard spotted” char and the smoky-ness. The pizzas here are hand stretched, thin in the center, with a crust that is crisp on the outside whilst being fluff and soft inside. Top ’em up with some raw San Marzano tomato sauce and fresh Mozzarella and you’ve got delicious pies to bite into. Mediterranea (mozzarella, tomato sauce, tomato confit, taggiasca olives, caper berries, oregano) and Burrata e Pomodirini (fresh Burrata, tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes). They don’t offer any vegan pizzas on the menu but they do have a few vegan options for Soup, Salad and Antipasti.

Sarpino’s has been a favourite for years, or more specifically, its Pesto Veggie (sun-dried tomatoes, green & red pepper, fresh spinach leaves, onions, roast garlic, olive oil, cheddar and Italian mozzarella on a bed of pesto sauce) has been. Other veg options include Cheese, Margherita, Kalamata Delight, Garlic & Cheese and Vegetarian Special.

Domino’s

No pizza lover can claim indifference to Domino’s. We love Domino’s for the ease of ordering and the ability to customise. The cheese used by Domino’s is classified under vegetarian as it is produced by ‘Microbial’ rennet instead of animal rennet. Domino’s option to ‘Track your Order’ is also pretty neat. The menu currently has 6 veg options – Quattro Veggie, Sambal Veggie, Romano Margherita, Valenciana Mushroom (Belgian spinach, onion, mushrooms and pesto sauce), Very Veggie and Simply Cheese.

Domino’s delivery pizzas are highly customisable vis-à-vis crusts, sauces and toppings. So you could replace cheese with extra olives to make your pizza vegan. Or make the Basilico Chicken vegetarian by replacing the Roasted Chicken with Red and Green Peppers and Spinach. What’s best is they even adjust the price, so you’re not paying more after removing the meat.

Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza

A popular and pocket-friendly pizza delivery option, 2 pizzas at Canadian 2 for 1 Pizza start at S$27.90. Besides the standard Margherita (which we don’t recommend ordering here) and Super Cheese (mozzarella and edam cheese), they have quite a few interesting vegetarian pizzas – Garden Veggie, Spinach with Olive (spinach, green olives, caramelised onions, red chilli and feta cheese), Spinach Jalapeño, Spinach Delight (spinach, feta cheese, onion and cheese mix), and the wholemeal In Your Garden (cherry tomato, capsicum, spinach, olives, mushroom, onion, tomato sauce, cheese mix). So, if variety is what you seek, this is just the place to order.

    1. Bernice, you will have to check with the restaurants directly for this since each restaurant uses different cheese. There are vegan cheese-less pizzas available at Spizza and Alt pizza.

  1. Hi, from my knowledge, Domino’s ‘Very veggie’ pizza uses rennet free cheese and is also free from onion and garlic. Note that you have to ask for New York crust for it to remain onion and garlic free. Very helpful for veggies like me who needs something strictly vegetarian delivered to my doorstep. Their prices are not bad too.

    1. Thanks a ton for the info Pavs. We know it is time to update this article and we’re trying to contact the mentioned restaurants to check on all the info as well.

  2. Thanks for this wonderful list! I used to really love the Tuscany pizza from Sarpinos, too. Unfortunately, it seems Sarpinos has gone through some cost cutting measures, with one being removing the Tuscany pizza from their menu. I’ve tried all their other vegetarian offerings but they’ve all come up short in comparison. 🙁

    1. Oh, I forgot to add, you guys can try Brownice/Smoocht located at 8 Sin Ming Rd, #01-03 Sin Ming Centre, Singapore 575628 – https://www.facebook.com/smoocht/ if you haven’t.
They serve vegan food and their truffle procini funghi pizza is divine. They used to have an East Coast outlet which closed down sadly.

    2. Bummer, Tuscany is a favourite with us too. BTW Rod, we’re in the process of updating this list – we’ve tried to get in touch with all the pizzerias to find out which ones might use cheese that contains animal rennet. We’re also trying to find other good options etc, basically updating the article with the latest and accurate info. Check back in in a week or so and the article should be updated by then.
